Word War vi ver: 1.0.0.1
Author: Stephen M. Cameron
Website: wordwarvi.sourceforge.net/
Description:
Word War vi is your basic side-scrolling shoot 'em up '80s style arcade game. You pilot your "vi"per craft through core memory, rescuing lost .swp files, avoiding OS defenses, and wiping out those memory hogging emacs processes. When all the lost .swp files are rescued, head for the socket which will take you to the next node in the cluster.

Additional Info
Overclocking to 800 MHz is needed for the sound to be smooth ;)

Updated to 1.0
Seems to run a bit faster (have added some more compileflags).
Also now supports the left nub as joystick by default.

The Keys are as follows:
* Pressing 'q' puts in a quarter and starts the game.
* D-Pad (or, of course vi's hjkl keys) or left nub to move
* 'X' 9 lazer
* 'A' drops a bomb
* 'Y' throws chaff
* 'B' drops a gravitybomb
* '9' commits suicide (just for debugging.)
* 'v' (xmas mode only) delivers a present.

v1.0.0.1
Fast paced action & graphics. Eventually the nerd factor was too high though. Stopped playing it. Rating 3/5.

Well, it seems like a polished game, only it takes ages to load and is extremely difficult...

You're right, but as this uses gtk and not sdl, you can't do much to get vsync into it.

Works well at 1Ghz could do with some V Sync as the screen tearing is quite visible. Great game, great choice for a port.
